It was an overcast day in New York, one of the first days in 2012, and I was hankering for some seafood! I rolled out of bed just as Karen finished her morning routine. I had heard about the restaurant, The Mermaid Inn, from reading It’s Me, KP, the fabulous blog of scrapbooker and foodie Kelly Purkey. Between the pictures of the tasty food and the charming interior I knew I wanted some mermaid food action.
The atmosphere and food did not disappoint. I satisfied my recent obsession with eggs benedict with their crab version. And I was delighted with the inn feel of the actual restaurant. I’d like to visit again in the summer when I imagine eating my tasty food with a warm breeze overtaking me.
