Long-Form Journalism

After my reunion with my dear friend, he dropped me off at Housing Works Cafe to meet my lovely hostess, Karen, and Balie where we were going to listen to a discussion by Rolling Stone Magazine editors about long-form journalism.  It’s not exactly my kind of thing, but I enjoy learning about topics that fascinate other people.  Knowing Karen and Balie enjoyed these kinds of things, I was curious what it was all about.  In short I enjoyed the lecture/discussion and gained some insight into the journalism/media world.

If you’re in New York and enjoy a good bookstore/cafe/coffee shop, Housing Works Cafe is a great place to stop by.  If not for their selection of books, visit Housing Works for its efforts to “fight AIDS and end homelessness”.
